Two people have escaped unharmed after a small aircraft they were travelling in crashed at the Stellenbosch Airfield on Saturday morning.
Stuart Grobbelaar, head of communications in the Stellenbosch municipality, said its fire department had visited the scene to provide support.
“There were two people in the small plane, and both are okay. No injuries or serious damage was reported,” he said.
It’s understood that the accident occurred shortly after take-off.
The cause of the crash is not yet known.
