Saturday’s weather: Fine, cool to warm conditions with fog expected, but partly cloudy in some parts

The South African Weather Service has forecast fine and cool to warm conditions, with morning fog in multiple regions, but it will be partly cloudy in some areas. 

The weather in your region

Fine and cool temperatures are expected in Gauteng.

The expected UVB sunburn index is high.

Mpumalanga can expect fine and cool conditions but it will be warm in the Lowveld, where partly cloudy conditions are expected at first.

Partly cloudy conditions are forecast in Limpopo’s east, with morning fog patches in the north-central parts, otherwise it will be fine and warm.

The North West and the Free State can expect fine and cool temperatures.

Morning fog is forecast along the coast of the Northern Cape, otherwise fine and cool to warm conditions are expected.

The wind along the coast will be a moderate to fresh south to south-easterly, but strong at times from the afternoon.

The Western Cape can expect fine and cool to warm temperatures, but it will be partly cloudy along the south coast.

Morning fog patches are expected in places over the interior.

The wind along the coast will be a moderate north-westerly along the south coast, becoming a moderate easterly.

Otherwise, a moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly is forecast, but it will be strong in the south-west in the afternoon.

The expected UVB sunburn index is moderate.

Partly cloudy conditions are forecast along the western half of Eastern Cape’s coast, otherwise fine and cool conditions are expected.

The wind along the coast will be a moderate to fresh south-westerly, reaching strong in places.

It will become light and variable from the afternoon.

The eastern half of the province will have morning fog along the coast. Otherwise, it will be fine and cool, but partly cloudy in the south-west from mid-morning.

It will become cloudy south of the escarpment in the evening.

The wind along the coast will be a moderate to fresh south-westerly, becoming light and variable in places from late afternoon.

KwaZulu-Natal will have morning fog patches over the north-eastern parts, otherwise it will be fine.

The wind along the coast will be a light to moderate northerly to north-easterly, becoming moderate to fresh south of Durban from the morning.

It will reach strong in places, spreading to Kosi Bay from mid-day.

The expected UVB sunburn index is very high.
