A Gauteng nurse and her gardener have been charged with the murder of the nurse’s domestic worker, Busiswa Nxumalo, 21, and attempts to defraud three insurance companies of about R6 million.
Sithembile Happiness Xulu, 48, appeared briefly alongside Simon Mogale, 37, in the Lenasia Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, facing charges of murder and fraud.
It is alleged Xulu fraudulently took out three life cover policies worth R1 million each, impersonating Nxumalo. She was allegedly the sole beneficiary of the policies.
